Papua New Guinea Nanjing Min-Tai Machinery Industrial Park: Daily water supply of 20,000 tons

The Nanjing Min-Tai Precision Machinery Industrial Park comprises three zones: the Toyota Park Core Zone, the Shancheng Park Area, and the High-Tech Park Area. The planned area covers approximately 21.3 square kilometers, of which about 9.5 square kilometers are designated for industrial use. In recent years, our county has successively formulated documents such as the "Nanjing Equipment Manufacturing Development Plan" and the "Overall Master Plan for the Min-Tai Precision Machinery Industrial Park." Currently, a coordinated development pattern has been established, centered on the machinery industry and featuring "one park, two axes, and three zones." Specifically, the Toyota Park Core Zone, located in the northern part of the industrial park, primarily focuses on the production of machine tools and large-scale casting and machining; the Shancheng Park Area, situated in the southern part, specializes in high-power electric spindles, precision rotary indexing tables, and high-speed, heavy-duty precision ball screws; and the High-Tech Park Area, located in the eastern part, is driven by "service-oriented manufacturing," with products manufactured by companies in the park being exported to markets in Europe, the U.S., and Southeast Asia.

Project Overview

This device is suitable for purifying surface and groundwater—such as rivers, reservoirs, and lakes—that meet the Class I and Class II water quality standards specified in CJ3020-93 “Standards for Water Quality of Domestic Drinking Water Sources,” provided that the turbidity of these waters is less than 1500 NTU (with a short-term allowable peak of 3000 NTU). After purification by this device, the outgoing water quality will comply with the newly established national standard GB5749-2006 “Hygienic Standard for Drinking Water Quality,” covering ten routine daily testing indicators: color, turbidity, visually perceptible particles, odor and taste, pH value, total colony count, total coliforms, thermotolerant coliforms, Escherichia coli, and residual chlorine.

 

Main Technical Parameters of Water Purification Equipment

1. Net water volume: Rated daily water production: 20,000 cubic meters (tons)

2. Raw water turbidity: ≤1500 NTU, with short-term peaks up to 3000 NTU.

3. Turbidity of effluent: ≤0.5 NTU (up to 1 NTU in special cases)

4. Flocculation reaction time: 15–20 min

5. Flow velocity in the stable flow zone: 1.38–1.67 mm/s

6. Surface loading of the sedimentation zone: 5–6 m 3/m2 ·h

7. Filtration rate: 6–7 m/h; for dual-layer filter media: 7–10 m/h

8. Filter Media: K80 < 1.5 Homogenized Quartz Sand

9. Filter layer height: ≥1.2 meters

10. Filter pool backwashing method: air-water backwashing and full-process surface scrubbing

11. Rinse Process: The rinse process consists of: first, air rinsing at an intensity of 15 L/s·m for a duration of 2 to 4 minutes (adjustable); then, simultaneous air-and-water rinsing, with the air-rinsing intensity...

15 L/s·m, water flushing intensity 2 L/s·m, duration 4 min (adjustable); followed by backflushing with water at an intensity of 6.5 L/s·m for 2 to 6 min (adjustable); and surface sweeping throughout the entire process.

Washing and scrubbing intensity: Q = 1.1 L/m²·s; the self-control system is operational.

12. Minimum headwater: 7 meters
